Which way Lord?

This is what the Lord says - your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: "I am the Lord your God, who teaches you what is best for you, who directs you in the way you should go.” (Isaiah 48:17)

The Spring JOY Breakfast is over and we find ourselves praying for other things like friends battling the flood and victims of tornadoes and storms. There seems to be an endless list. Please make room for a request concerning JOY. Let us pray for God’s direction as we seek to become a stronger influence with the women of our area. Also, pray for the Board for JOY International as God directs them in their tasks.

Father, Lord of all that has been created, we are so grateful for all the blessings you provided for the JOY Breakfast. God, we are so thankful that you looked after every detail, providing a place for laughter and faith. But we know we cannot afford to let up on our prayers for those who need to know you better. We pray for your direction for JOY as an organization. Show us how to be a instrument in your hand for reaching those who have lost their way.

We also pray for the Board as they make decisions concerning future JOY outreaches. Protect each member of the board, giving them wisdom and watching over their health in body, soul and in spirit. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Wake Up

Meanwhile, all the people were wailing and mourning for her. "Stop wailing," Jesus said. "She is not dead but asleep." They laughed at him, knowing she was dead. But He took her by the hand and said, "My child, get up!" Her spirit returned and at once she stood up. (Luke 8:53-55a)

As the JOY Breakfast approaches, let us pray for the women of the area. The women that seem to be dead to Christ but are not because Jesus is the resurrection and the life. Just as He breathed life into Jairus' daughter, He can do it for the women we love and even the ones we do not know. It is not too much for God to bring life to a broken or sleeping spirit.

God, you are the Lord of all creation, you are the God that heals and restores life. Have mercy on those that have lost track of you. Touch the souls of those who have been hurt and wearied by a life lived separate from you. Bring back to life, my Father, those dear women asleep to the possibilities of a life lived in faith and a life lived in Christ Jesus. Loving Father, bring these special women to the Breakfast to hear a message of your hope and love for them. Grant my Lord that we will never grow weary of praying for them. In Jesus' name, Amen.

"Remember how the Lord your God led you all the way in the desert these forty years, ..." (Deut 8:2)

One morning, as I was going through Deuteronomy, I noticed this scripture. I thought, how often in the stress of the moment I forget to remember the Lord. I forget to remember how He has led me in stressful times in the past. I forget to remember the peace I can lay hold of when I go through stressful times united with God.

"...the Lord...led you...all the way..."

As we pray for the JOY Breakfast, let us pray for the women that put the breakfast together. Pray that in the crunch of preparation they will know the peace of letting God lead them all the way.

Father, this is Your breakfast. Strengthen the women who are working hard to present You to other women who need to know you better. Lord, help the women in charge of hospitality, music, table leaders, decorations, the program setup and so many other details. Lord, please lead them all the way and in every detail. We pray that You keep them healthy and at peace. We pray the same for our speaker, that You will lead and protect her and keep her in Your peace. We also pray for Fran and Bonnie that You will keep them in good health, and in the midst of the stress of preparation, that You will lead them to your peace. Father we are grateful for Your help in all these areas. In Jesus' name, Amen.

"He wakens me morning by morning, wakens my ear to listen like one being taught." (Is 50:4b)

Recently, this scripture touched my heart with gladness. How tender God is. We can know how much God loves us by being aware of His activity in our lives. This scripture also caused me to pause and examine my love for my God.

It is God who "wakens my ear to listen." This scripture is talking about a wonderful gift given to us from the Father, the gift of listening.

As we pray for the JOY Breakfast, let us picture God's hands over the ears of those who come to hear God's message.

Father, what a joy to know that it is You who wakens us, that it is You who stirs us to consciousness and You who wakes up our ears not just to hear but to listen. We ask, Lord, for Your healing hands to be over each ear so your message will be a listening experience. We ask, Lord, for Your healing hands to be over each ear so each word will be a useful message teaching the hearts of all who hear. We pray for all who come to the breakfast to be touched by Your great love through the speaker and through all who prepare for it. In Jesus' name, Amen.

"Nothing in all creation is hidden from God's sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account." (Hebrews 4:13)

As we prepare for another breakfast and pray for a good outcome, we take into our souls the knowledge that we do not journey alone. We journey with God who goes before us and sees every danger, every hardship, and every joy. Nothing in all of creation is hidden from his sight. God sees. God knows.

As we pray for those around us to find a relationship with God through Jesus Christ, we can be sure God sees our efforts and He will hear our prayers.

Lord, we pray for every woman involved with the JOY breakfast. You see the needs of those involved in Hospitality, the table leaders, the music and technical people. You see and You know the help they need. Answer their call for help with solutions and a knowing that You are working right beside them.

We pray for the success of the breakfast and for the women You have called to come. Let no obstacle stop them from coming. We ask for Your divine protection and watchfulness over our speaker, Debbie. Hover over the words Debbie will speak at the breakfast, making their truth like arrows hitting the hearts of those who hear them.

We pray these things in Jesus' name.

Thank you for being part of the prayer ministry. Please pray daily for this request until the next request is posted.

Romans 15:24: "...I hope to visit you while passing through and to have you assist me on my journey...."

Everyday is a journey that takes me closer to my destination, heaven. You have the same daily journey. Paul says, "to have you assist me." Prayer is the way we can effectively assist one another in the journey. Everyday we journey should be a season of prayer, a season to help one another through prayer.

As life spins out of control with busyness, I pray for us that we do not abandon prayer. There must be prayer for those we love and hold dear, prayer for neighbors suffering trials, prayer for people of our city, prayer for government, prayer for a lost world to find the knowledge of Christ.

Let's not forget to pray for the establishment of JOY International as a tool God can use to reach women and to touch their hearts for Christ as they daily journey through life.

Pray, also, for the establishment of JOY leadership and their decisions concerning JOY.

Father, in your name we come to you, we lift up to you JOY and we ask for supernatural help for the leadership. We ask for women who are willing to enter the harvest field and do battle for your kingdom. Make us willing and able to help others during their days of journey. Please, bring to us as an organization a powerful show of your presence. Jesus, we need you. Amen.

Thank you for being part of the prayer ministry. Please pray daily for this request until the next request is posted.
